It’s been a whirlwind few months here at Pharmtrue since we took over our downtown Las Cruces location in June marrying together our cannabis and pharmacy operations. While our efforts to establish a top-notch cannabis dispensary are ongoing, we’re equally focused on refining our pharmacy services right here in Las Cruces. We’ve faced a myriad of hurdles, but the progress we’ve made is nothing short of amazing. From the slow and steady remodel to our ever-evolving licensing process, every step brings us closer to realizing our vision for this space. Remodeling and Revitalizing Our Las Cruces Pharmacy Space
One of the latest changes in our downtown Las Cruces pharmacy is the installation of butcher block countertops and a fresh coat of paint on the inside. These new additions make our front pharmacy counter more welcoming and functional. It’s part of our ongoing effort to create a space that reflects our commitment to personalized service. We’re chipping away at the remodel, one project at a time, ensuring everything aligns with our long-term goals. This attention to detail isn’t just about having a beautiful building; it’s about creating a space where our services and systems are perfectly in sync to provide you with the best care possible.
Building Strong Partnerships in Cannabis
While our focus has been on the pharmacy, we’ve also made significant strides in our Las Cruces based cannabis operations. Our partnerships with local leaders in the industry, such as High Horse Cannabis Company and Baked Chicken Farm, have been instrumental in our growth. In addition to the physical changes, we’ve been busy cultivating strong partnerships within the cannabis community.
Our collaboration with High Horse Cannabis Company has been particularly rewarding. Not only am I honored to serve as their Director of Training, but we’ve also been working together on manufacturing. Using Pharmtrue’s license and available space, High Horse has the ability to hand-select and package thousands of pounds of high-quality flower at our downtown Las Cruces location. This freshly packaged, hand-picked flower rolls out in their 3 (soon to be 4) stores while we get our pharmacy up and going. With over 50 budtenders across their stores, they’re the hands down the best-trained team in the industry, and I’m proud to contribute to that excellence.
Moreover, our relationship with the Baked Chicken Farm, the largest locally owned indoor cannabis grow facility in New Mexico, has flourished. Their premium indoor flower is now available in our dispensary, further enhancing our high-quality product offerings. As a pharmacist first and foremost, I particularly value the pristine hospital-like environment of their indoor flower facility. Their high-tech and clean processes mean I can stand confidently behind the flower Pharmtrue carries.
Las Cruces Pharmacy Services and Future Plans
As we near the completion of our pharmacy inspections, we’re preparing to roll out a comprehensive range of services. Although billing insurances will take time to fully integrate, we’re committed to providing affordable options for our customers. We’ll offer cash prices for generics that are often lower than regular copays, and compounded medications will be available without insurance delays.
Our downtown Las Cruces pharmacy is more than just a place to fill prescriptions. It’s a hub for personalized care, whether it’s through expert consultations, custom compounding, or wellness screenings. We’re here to serve the community, offering services that go beyond the typical pharmacy experience.
