On June 21–22, 2025, Pharmtrue’s parking lot at 227 S Main St, Las Cruces, NM, transformed into a vibrant hub of community spirit for our Summer Solstice Yard Sale, raising an incredible $2,777.24 for Rebel Angel All Breed Animal Rescue. This two-day event, part of our Pharmtrue Market series, united pet lovers, families, and local supporters to shop, adopt, and celebrate, all while supporting a vital cause.
A Record-Breaking Fundraiser
The yard sale, held in triple-digit heat under shaded canopies, featured a 26-foot trailer packed with clothing, pet supplies, and unique finds like dog life jackets donated by Enchanted Pass Rescue. With the help of 25–30 dedicated volunteers, we raised $2,777.24 through donation buckets, credit card payments, cash, and online sales. Two adorable pets—a chihuahua and another furry friend—found forever homes through Rebel Angel’s indoor adoption setup, ensuring their comfort in our air-conditioned pharmacy.
“This was our biggest yard sale yet,” said Starr Foster Schneider of Rebel Angel. The funds, combined with a $1,000 donation and a ascended $5,000 grant from Kohl’s, will support their dream of a rescue property on Highway 70, complete with dog runs and a sanctuary for feral animals.
Community Power in Action
Local businesses like Chris’s Comedor, The Mix, Domino’s, and Bite of Belgium of Belgium fueled the event with donated food, keeping volunteers energized. The concurrent car show on June 21, featuring 12 classic vehicles, drew additional crowds, boosting foot traffic. “The community really pulled out,” said Terre Blevins, highlighting the collaborative spirit.
Rebel Angel’s Mission
Founded in 2024, Rebel Angel All Breed Animal Rescue saves over 200 animals annually from Las Cruces’ high-kill shelters. The yard sale’s proceeds will fund medical care, spay/neuter programs, and a new rescue property, ensuring more animals find loving homes. Their rigorous adoption process, including home visits, guarantees safe placements.
